How does it work?

I capture the equivalent of remaining and incompressible CO2 with Digitaleo by becoming a tree owner in forests managed sustainably by our partner.

EcoTree manages planting and maintenance of my trees in the Ploërdut forest. My trees will sequester carbon and promote biodiversity in line with the reforestation against climate change project.

My trees will eventually be harvested to produce sustainable sustainable timber that will store carbon. 100% of the profits go to me!

We were already aware that our activity was contributing to global warming, but this enabled us to concretely measure our scope for improvement.In 2022, after committing to a process comprising training, self-assessment, an external audit and a 3-year progress plan, we were awarded the Numérique Responsable label.Our work on this subject has only just begun, as we aim to bring about a lasting transformation in our practices and encourage our customers to take part in this process.This is the key to making this corporate project meaningful and measurable.Transparency and collaboration are essential if we are to make progress on these issues: the aim of this page is therefore to share our actions with you!"

The carbon assessment carried out with GoodPlanet in 2019 established that our carbon emissions (including customer emails) were equivalent to 578 tonnes ofCO2e, or 58 circumnavigations of the earth by car.

Following this assessment, we implemented various actions to reduce our carbon emissions by 25%:
- Waste sorting and recovery.
- Education and awareness-raising for employees (Climate Fresco).
- Optimizing travel and encouraging soft mobility: telecommuting, sustainable mobility plan (Challenge Mobil’Acteurs, introduction of the Forfait Mobilité Durable, electric bicycles available), preferential use of the train.
- Enhancement of the Digitaleo product with new functionalities (database cleaning, inactive management rule, creation of eco-designed emailing integrated into the platform, etc.).
- Educating and raising awareness among our customers to explain the benefits of “communicating less but better”. Communicate less but better“
- Responsible Digital label (2022)
We have also been thinking about how to manage our incompressible emissions:
- Establishment of a partnership with EcoTree to identify a CO2e capture mechanism through the creation of carbon sinks for us and our customers.
- Commitment to a 2021-2025 carbon capture plan to contribute to global carbon neutrality: planting around 3,000 trees a year in Brittany (i.e. 15 hectares by 2025).
- Possibility for our customers to buy trees in Brittany to capture the CO2 equivalent of their email campaigns
